Lord Norwich

Previously the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity, we re-launched as The Children’s Surgery Foundation in 2019 to reflect the national scope of our work today. The story below is from our days as the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity.

We were very sorry to learn that Lord Norwich died recently at the age of 88. Lord Norwich was a historian, writer and television personality, and one of our charity’s patrons. His involvement with the charity began more than 30 years ago when his baby granddaughter was in hospital with a sudden and devastating illness. Thankfully, she survived. At the hospital, Lord Norwich met one of our charity’s founders, Dr Martin Brueton, who asked for his support. We are very grateful for the long-term patronage of Lord Norwich and send commiserations to his family.
