Our blogger brunch
21 Sep ArchivePreviously the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity, we re-launched as The Children’s Surgery Foundation in 2019 to reflect the national scope of our work today. The story below is from our days as the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity.
We held a brunch this morning for local mummy bloggers in the private room of The Hollywood Arms, just up the road from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The aim was to raise awareness of our charity. There may have been a bit of a panic first thing thanks to signal delays on SouthWest Trains... but we made it to the venue in time, laden down with laptop, camera, posters and lots of goody bags. And once there, everything went smoothly, from the presentation to the hospital tour! Phew... Our guests were a group of supportive and all-round lovely people who want to do what they can to help.
Thanks so much to all the bloggers who came along. Special thanks goes to our lovely charity ambassador Harriet, whose son Alfie has been treated at the hospital for leukaemia. And we're so grateful to our charity partner Merci Maman who generously provided stunning necklaces, hand-engraved for our guests.
